I am building my Z up right now for the Texas Mile. My goal is to break 200mph in the standing mile. I was orginally going to go with the 4L80E setup from Brett Dempsey, but cant see myself spending the ungodly amount of money to get just the tranny for that setup (seriously, all said and done well over 6k) I am now going with the TH400 setup and have two options (both are cheaper than the 4L80E setup, I am just exploring all options), a) Order the Gear Vendors Overdrive for the TH400 setup. It is an option, but like I said, exploring. or B) if the Armada R&P setup does work out, it will give the same final drive as with the Gear Vendors OD, just without the whole setup. Either setup will get me to my goal without breaking things. And a manual tranny is NOT an option. TH400 is bought for the most part.
